Yesterday we got up bright and early to head out to the airport.  We left the house at 5am.  Our flight was on time and we were off to Tampa.  Minah wasn't too sure at first about the flight.  About 15 minutes into it, she fell asleep in my arms and took about an hour nap.  Jacob was so funny.  He had a running commentary during take-off that was a bit unnerving for some.  "I think we're going to crash.  Oh no, that was a big bump.  Is that a graveyard down there.  I think we're going to die."  All the while he was saying it jokingly in a cute voice but I'm sure any nervous fliers were ready to throw him out the window.  Chloe was a champ.  She just played with her toys and drew me pictures.  Before long we landed, got our luggage and rental car and we were on our way!

The drive from Tampa to Treasure Island was pretty quick and quite beautiful.  We drove over some bridges and had lots of fun things to look at along the way.  Our hotel is really nice.  Our room has three bedrooms and a kitchen.  We got settled, covered in sunscreen and headed down to the pool.  The kids had fun splashing for a bit and then we were off to the beach!  The sand is beautiful-soft and white.  There are lots of little shells-many of them broken from the surf but we were able to find a few nice ones.  The kids built sand castles, buried each other, and had a blast.  Before we knew it, it was time to eat.  The kids were wiped out.  The hotel recommended a little place down the road to eat and we had a nice meal.  Afterwards we went to Publix and got some groceries and then it was time to go back to the hotel and go to bed.  It was a long day but so much fun!
