The weather today has been beautiful. It is warm and a little breezy. We planted sunflowers, strawberry plants, grape tomatoes, roma tomatoes, banana peppers, green peppers, and a little catnip for Snowball (our cat) in the garden. The kids loved helping dig holes and plant seeds. Afterwards Matt started working on putting a fence around the garden to keep the pesky rabbits out. They have been eating everything. They even pulled my petunia plants out of the ground!
Since the kids still wanted to keep helping, I got out a few watering cans. Before I knew it, it was water fun with the hose. Minah loved getting sprayed-even directly in her face! She was soaking wet before they were finished and even cried a bit when it was time to go inside. Jacob and Chloe got pretty wet too. You can see from the video that Chloe was a little nervous sister was going to take the hose away. Minah just kept coming back again and again after I stopped taking video wanting to be sprayed. I'd tell Chloe, "Not in her face." and then Minah would put her face in front of the hose. They had so much fun running around the yard and playing. It was great for Chloe to be outside having fun too. It's been a long week and a half for her resting inside. She is a busy little girl and her surgery was pretty tough on her. At least it is over and she, and the rest of the kids, can enjoy the summer.
