Trying to pick their favorite animal to "build"

Chloe picked hers out right away.

It was a bit too noisy for Chloe but she still loved stuffing her lovie.

Minah was the last one to decide on her bear.

Jacob filled his like a pro!

Minah picked the white bear with blue snowflakes.  It plays "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".

Chloe and her bear "Strawberry".

Jacob and his Star Wars bear "Max".

A few weeks ago we went to Build-a-Bear.  Grandpa Mark and Grandma Ruth planned a party for all of the younger cousins so they could build their bears together.  It was part of their Christmas gift.  Boy was it fun!  Chloe and Jacob picked their bears out right away.  Jacob picked a blue "Star Wars" bear that he lovingly named Max.  I think he decided on the name Max because that is the name of the dog in the book, "The Grinch that Stole Christmas" that we have been reading frequently.  He dressed it in a Clone Trooper costume and it plays the Star Wars theme song.  Chloe picked a tie-dye pink bear she named "Strawberry".  It plays a Jonas Brothers compilation.  I think she picked the music because her cousin Claudia loves the Jonas Brothers and she picked the same song.  Chloe carefully picked out a lovely princess costume from the movie "Tangled" and pretty pink shoes that match perfectly.  Minah was the last to decide on her bear.  She certainly knows what she wants and does not want and we spent a lot of time "testing" out the bears before we finally found one she wanted.  She picked a white bear with blue snowflakes.  We played all of the different music for her too.  Two songs stuck out as her favorites.  She would dance to them in the store so we knew they were a hit-"Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Happy Birthday".  Ultimately we decided on Rudolph.  She wasn't too interested in clothes for her bear "Barry" but she finally picked a Merry Christmas t-shirt, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer slippers, and a head band for the bear that looks like reindeer antlers.  All of the bears were super cute and the kids had so much fun making them with their cousins.  Since then, the kids have been playing and sleeping with them at night.  Occasionally I wake during the night to the Jonas brothers or the Star Wars song but I'm getting used to it.  It was a very special gift for them that hopefully they will treasure for a long time!
