We decided that we were going to do the Seoul City Bus Tour today. We researched it online and mapped out the sites on the route that we wanted to see. We walked the brisk 10 minute walk to the nearest point on the route only to find out they are closed on Mondays. Since we didn't have a Plan B as of that time, we went back to the hotel to regroup. Matt researched the subway and we decided to do a dry run to SWS and visit the Coex Mall afterwards. So...off we went. It was another brisk 10 minute walk to the station. We decided to take the shortest route on the map to SWS via the subway which meant we needed to change lines a few times during our journey. We purchased our tickets and got on the subway. Everything was easy to navigate as it was all in Hangul and English. Changing lines was tricky but luckily they have maps everywhere and I have quite the boy scout of a husband. Finally we made it to our stop for SWS. We weren't exactly sure where to go but we knew we were on the right block. It didn't take us long to find it. All in all, it took us about an our and a half to get there. We then hopped back on the subway for a few more stops and found the Coex Mall.
The Coex Mall was an amazingly huge mall. It has tons of stores and restaurants. Many of them we have back in the states as well. We thought the coolest thing by far was the Coex Aquarium. On a whim we decided to check it out and it was very interesting! They not only had fish but bats, spiders, turtles, penguins, alligators, rabbits, and much more. Yes, that is a two headed turtle below. We had a good laugh over the toilet photo.
